Victor New CarboSonic Pro (NCS-Pro) Synthetic Carbon Fiber Feather Shuttlecock

History of New Carbosonic (NCS)

The Victor New CarboSonic (NCS) Pro is the 2nd Generation of their popular synthetic shuttlecocks. On this 2nd generation NCS, Victor made improvement on the flight and durability; the NCS Pro flies much smooth, feels more closer to feather, and last longer. The stem of NCS Pro is crafted from composite carbon fiber, while the feathers are made with aerodynamic synthetic material, known for its high stiffness, lightweight properties, and tear resistance. Through advanced computer analysis and simulation of mechanics and weight distribution, combined with hundreds of tests, NCS Pro achieves the perfect balance in synthetic shuttlecock performance. This innovative design has acquired patents in multiple countries across Asia, Europe, and America.

NCS Pro delivers stable flight, solid hits, and exceptional durability. Its trajectory, hitting feel, and weight closely resemble those of natural feather shuttlecocks, while the crisp sound of each hit adds to its distinctiveness. Professional testing has shown that the NCS Pro can withstand rallies of over 100 mid-to-long-range shots, proving its durability surpasses that of typical feather shuttlecocks.

5 of 5 Don’t be fooled by bogus B+ durability rating December 7, 2025

The Victor NCS Pro lasts longer than Yonex AS‑40s, even if you retire them at first wear. Don’t be fooled by a feather‑centric metric. Flight quality sits between the AS‑30 and AS‑40, but durability is higher. For recreation and lower‑tier tournaments, they’re the better buy than the AS‑30 or even Yonex’s new hybrid F‑80 (with flight between NCS Pro and AS-40). Victor keeps costs down by skipping expensive certifications, while Yonex charges $63 for the F‑80 ... only worth it if you’re smashing at tournament level. With feather shuttles getting pricier, the NCS Pro is the one to get (and the F‑80 if you’re a hard hitter above intermediate).
