heavy racket and soft strings means this is at best a defensive racket with no smash ability.

Got some of these for our PE class in December. They worked really well. The rackets are more durable than the Gophers or B-350. So far - 5 months.. (knock on wood), we only broke one out of 24 pieces that we bought. That was because one of the student hit the pole really hard. Other than that, the others are holding. Highly recommended if you are looking for rackets for PE or recreational use.
