Wilson first generation of nCoded rackets have won numerous industry awards for the nano technology usage in racket sports. The n1 is the 2005 top-of-the line badminton racket used by Wilson top players. Designed for advanced and professional players, the racket offers head heavy balance and stiff shaft for power and control, an excellent offensive racket for aggressive players.

This product is a CLOSEOUT product. It is being SOLD AS IS without any warranty from the manufacturer, Wilson, or from Badminton Alley. The racket is a brand NEW and unused. This model has been phased out by Wilson Sporting Goods.

Rackets are made of billions of carbon fibers linked together and heatshaped. These carbons fibers are strong, light and resilient. Nevertheless, at the nanoscopic level voids exist between the individual fibers which creates stress points. By reinforcing the molecular structure of the frame and filling these voids, nCode(TM) technology improves a racket's playability while preserving its unique playing characteristics.

When a racket is nCoded, nano-sized silicone oxide crystals permeate the voids between the carbon fibers. This adjustment made at the molecular level, significantly strenthens and enhances the stability of the overall carbon matrix. Stronger and even more resilient, nCoded rackets play better longer.

With nano technology(TM), Wilson broke the atomic code of the racket to create a new class of frames. This revolutionary process, striking new frame design and new string be technology (nZone(TM)), combine to deliver greater life, power and playability.

nCoded rackets measure 2 times stronger, 2 times more stable, and up to 22% more powerful than ordinary rackets.

5 of 5 Great racket for the price! August 30, 2011
Reviewer: Evan from Oxford, OH United States
I've been using this racket for a little over 8 months now, and I am very happy with it.  I find the durability to be quite good and can be string easily with a 2-point stringer if you do it yourself.  The bads: paint job is bland and the plastic near the grip feels cheap.  You'll get over that though.

4 of 5 Excellent racket, but fragile March 7, 2011
Reviewer: John Walker from Minneapolis, MN United States
Like others, I really enjoyed this racket -- light but pretty powerful, excellent control. But it broke after less than 6 months.

I'm going to try one more as long as it's cheap. :-)

5 of 5 The nCode rules! But be careful! February 16, 2011
Reviewer: I'm bringing Wilson back from Loma Linda, CA United States
I LOVE this racquet!
It's great! It's light. It looks SEXY.
And it's overall feel is amazing!
The only thing is that after reading those other reviews, I've been VERY cautious with it.
I haven't ran into any cracks or breaks yet, but I have gotten a few scratches on it due to scooping the birdie from off the ground.
I'd recommend this racquet to anyone. Just heed the warnings! You'd never know when they might turn out to be true.

4 of 5 Good racket, VERY questionable durability November 11, 2010
Reviewer: falx25 from Tucson, AZ United States
This racket is a good head-heavy racket which adds punch to your offense.  It was my first head-heavy racket and took a while to get used to, but overall was very easy to use.
However, about 3 weeks after receiving it brand-new, I had a minor racket clash with my partner and the racket cracked, also near the bottom of the frame as mentioned by Paul from NM.  The crack widened and I had to discard the racket less than a month after receiving it.  It was a good racket, but might have been stored in a warehouse for too long, so buyers beware!

4 of 5 Good Racket, questionable durability June 8, 2010
Reviewer: Paul from NM United States
I was quite surprise that this racket is not as head-heavy as I thought compared to Yonex Armortec series. This racket is good for smashing and drop shots. It has good feel too. The bad side of this racket is its questionable durability. I had this for less than a year and it suddenly broke in the bottom part of the head frame when I was practicing. =(
