One of the best badminton book in the world with concentration in the basic skills of badminton. Han Jian took up coaching in 1987. Before he arrived in malaysia to coach the national team in 1989, he had organised nation-wide coaching clinics in Japan for Yonex three times and coached Thailand's national team. During his stint as national coach, Malaysia won the Thomas Cup in Kuala Lumpur in 1992 and also the SEA Games title in Kuala Lumpur in 1989.

"e;Learning the basic skills of the game is a must for every beginner and player who aspires to become a world class player on day. It may look deceivingly simple but only a person who mastered and understood it can properly teach it."e;
-- Yang Yang, two time world champion

"e;I have always been impressed by Han Jian's ability to move around the court so smoothly and fluidly. He has one of the best footworks in badminton. We can certainly learn from him."e;
-- Park Joo Bong, five-time world champion, Olympic champion

"e;I think most people take basic skills for granted. Therefore, I was delighted to hear that Han Jian had produced a book and decided to share his knowledge and experience."e;
-- Zhao Jianhua, world champion

"e;I can say that he is one of the most innovative coaches around. He has this ability to create a training programme to bring out the best from a player."e;
