Description Technical Specs

The Voltric 55 (VT55-3UG4) is considered the BEAST of the Voltric line. The racket feels the heaviest and the most solid compared to other Voltric rackets. NOT AN EASY racket to adapt, but once adapted, which usually took 3-4 weeks (about 3x per week playing) most of our testers, the racket feels like a sledge-hammer: smash becomes explosive and drives are in full control. Recommended to string with NBG-98, BG-66 Ultimax, or Aerosonic.

The Voltric 55 (VT55-3UG4) white badminton racket is design using super slim shaft and an advancement using the tungsten tri-voltage concept to provide better control on exceptional power from a head-heavy balanced racket.

Traditionally, extra weight at the top of the racket frame has increased power while reducing maneuverability or control from the player. In contrast, less weight on the top of the racket frame increases speed but reduce power. Yonex solves this problem by using the new TRI-VOLTAGE SYSTEM to successfully combines the contrasting characteristics of exceptional power and control.

Within the TRI-VOLTAGE SYSTEM, Tungsten inserts are positioned at the 2 and 10 o'clock positions of the frame, and at the T-Joint area. Tungsten provides more than 10 times the relative density of graphite, allowing the sides of the frame to be thinner and more aerodynamic and therefore achieving the combination of heavy smashes and swing speed or fast racket handling.

The stiff racquet structure at the top of the frame head allows the head to bend in a very controlled way and hold shuttles on the string bed for longer. The thin frame sides then allow the frame to flex more and transfer more energy to the shuttle. This combination allows you to smash with instant power.

In VOLTRIC, the weight is balanced on the top of the frame and at the joint area which allows good handling while also maintaining power. The thin sides of the frame and at the top of the head reduced air resistance and improve the handling even further. Players can now make a full swing even during short range rallies as VOLTRIC responds instantly to even subtle movements.

Nice powerful racket January 28, 2018
Reviewer: Rudy S. from Sunnyvale, CA
Nice performance racket. Really easy to produce power when hitting clears and smashes, much easier than the Arc 11. Good feel and feedback from the racket also. Very nice.

PS: Thank you for the extremely fast service. You guys are the BEST!

Bad Ass Stick January 21, 2018
Reviewer: Michael R. from Vallejo, CA
This stick is real BAD ASS destroyer! I punish all my opponent with it. It just blows them away. When they see me start swinging, they all cringe. I love the feel of power from this racket. It's so addictive to just smash everything and hear the exploding sound.

Love the feel and power January 18, 2018
Reviewer: Shawn Kim from WA
Thank you for the super-fast delivery. 2 days to WA! Really appreciate the speedy service.

The feel of the pure power from this racket is just incredible. Clear and smash is just much more natural and, yet, powerful. You can feel the shot is really solid and fast.  I can hear loud bang every time I make a drive, clear, and smash. It's like I am using a shuttlecock canon.

Effortless Smash and Clear January 2, 2018
Reviewer: Park Y. from CA
Been buying light rackets the past years and was recommended to try heavier racket for power. It was the best recommendation I have received to challenge and improve my game. I bought the VT-55 based recommendation and reviews, and they are right. The racket gives a lot more power and much solid feel when hitting the shuttlecock. My smash is much faster and feel smooth, not pushing it. My clear and smash are effortless. Yes, it really is effortless to hit a clear and push the shuttlecock all the way back with this racket. My drive feels really solid. I do notice a slower response to my drive and defense, but I am training my forearm to make it stronger and faster to counter these negatives. In my opinion, the upgrade was worth it. My game has changed drastically; My attacks more threatening and, more importantly, I can feel the solidity of my shots which is not the case with light rackets such as the Airlite Storm. This racket is superb. Highly recommended. (Yonex Voltric 55 with ZyMax 66 Fire at 24 lbs).

Extremely Solid Shot November 19, 2017
Reviewer: Fred D. from Badminton court
I was looking for a more powerful racket since my Evo Carbon is not designed for aggressive play. I notice that I am hurting my shoulder as I try to hit harder on my clear and smash with the Evo. Bought this one just about a week ago. It took me couple of days to adjust to the weight as my swing becomes slower. Nevertheless, after the adjustment, my smash, clear, and drive were exploding left and right. I really can feel my shot, feel it really solid... the umph when hitting. Overall, if you are looking for more power for your smash and clear, I would recommend this racket in a heartbeat. Put a good string on it, mine is NBG-98 at 25 lbs. Expect to take couple days to get used to the racket. Afterward, you should be blasting the shuttle like crazy.
