Hexagrip - Special designed sole for agile and stable footwork. The Hexagrip patter is made from newly-developed material that provides 3% more gripping power and is 20% lighter than an ordinary material.
Round Sole - The Yonex Round Sole is designed to provide all-around support for quick and smooth footwork. The Round Sole integrated into the forefoot and heel of the shoe to minimize power loss, ensuring smooth movements the transfer of maximum energy to successive movements.
Double Russel Mesh - Super light weight and durable, this ultra-fine mesh provides 8 times more air-exchange performance than ordinary mesh for maximum moisture release.
Power Cushion - The Yonex Power Cushion effectively absorbs shock then reverses the impact energy for smooth transfer into the next movement. Compared with urethane, the Yonex Power Cushion construction provides 3 times more shock absorbing power.
Power Cushion Insole CF - Rounding the area from the middle of the foot to the heel. Better fitting insole design (heel). Produce quicker more nimble footwork.
Ergoshape - Scientifically contoured, the Ergoshape provides more comfort and stability in the forefoot and toe area of the shoe.

These are my first pair of badminton shoes and had previously been playing with squash shoes by Prince and Ashaway. I was a little worried that badminton shoes would not provide the same level of lateral support but these shoes and very stable and fit like a glove. There lighter in weight and I find myself moving quicker on the court with better forward and backward motion. Very nice shoe!

I have tried the SHB-100MX, SHB-101MX and LTD, SHB-92MX, and SHB-99MX. The SHB-85 EX Limited Edition (Red/Black) is the best. Very flexible. Very responsive. Very good feel on the court. Very Affordable compared to my previous shoes. Yes, it is cheaper and yet I like this one. It is so good that even many professional players are using SHB-85-EX. Checkout the All-England and all the Super Series tournaments. Many Yonex players are using the SHB-85-EX shoes because they are GOOD.
