The Mavis 500 is an improvement over its predecessor, the Mavis 350. It offers better flight and little better durability. It has the closest performance to feather shuttlecock in flight and feel. Though it cannot totally mimic feather shuttlecock, it is close enough for high school and junior national to use for play, practice, and club matches or tournaments.

Pretty good for nylon	July 25, 2006

I consider the Mavis 500 pretty good for nylon. It lasts very long for the younger groups. I don't give them feather because it's too expensive. The Mavis 500 lasts at least 5x longer in comparison to the feathers. Big savings for our group.
