Review of Wilson V8 Classic Racquet	August 9, 2007

I've played indoor badminton just once and was hooked although I know little to nothing about the sport. I know even less about badminton racquets but this won't stop me from writing a review of a racquet I only ordered yesterday, have never used nor even laid eyes on.
The only advice I can offer about badminton racquets is NOT to use a garden variety racquet when playing serious badminton. I did this yesterday and the racquet was destroyed within 30 minutes. The reasons I purchased the Wilson V8 are related to the sale price and also the very clever marketing language used in describing the racquet. Kudo's to whoever came up with it. Words like advanced, offense, smash and best of all STIFF, all appeal to this masculine self image I have of myself. Frankly given my extremely limited playing experience I would probably have been better off with a softer, kinder, gentler racquet, but then you get words like all arounder, flexible and worst of all....beginner....yuk!!!
