Li-Ning Flame N55 badminton racket is taylor-made for 2010 World Champion and 2008 Olympic Bronze Medalist Chen Jin, one of China national team men singles player. This racket is also used by 2011 Japan Open, 2011 Denmark Open, and 2011 China Masters champion Chen Long of China. The Flame N55 badminton racket has a head heavy balance for power and stif shaft for control. This racket is not as head heavy as Lin Dan's N90 Woods. It is much easier to play and manuever with this racket compared to Lin Dan N90 Woods.

The racket name "Flame" came from the adage in Sun Tzu Art of War that stated, "When in movement, be as swift as the storm. When in tactics, be as intricate as the woods. When in aggression, be as ferocious as the flame. When in stillness, be as steady as the rocks".
