Description

This racket is used by the Singapore Open 2009 Women Singles Champion, Zhou Mi of Hong Kong. Zhou Mi is also the Gold Medalist for the Badminton World Federation Super Series Masters Finals 2008, bronze medalist in the Olympic 2004 in Athens, 2003 All-England Champion, 2002 Asian Games Gold Medalist, and 2001 World Champion Silver medalist.

The HEAD Metallix™ 4000 is designed for offensive players similar to the Metallix™ 6000. It's not as head heavy as the Metallix™ 6000 but it produces excellent power. The Metallix™ 4000 has an excellent feel of control and comfort giving its player confidence in every shots. Though the racket price is economical (probably priced too low for such an excellent racket), the performance is superb. Badminton Alley Staff Recommended!

Metallix™ has been placed at 2 and 10 o'clock of the Metallix™ 6000. The racket can be strung up to 22-28 lbs.

The Head Metallix™ badminton line of rackets are made of a specially designed matrix of carbon fibers and a new crystalline metal alloy. The alloy's grain is 1000 times smaller than that of a typical metal. The result is a lighter, stronger and more powerful racket than ever before. Head Metallix™ is incorporated into graphite layers around the racket head and at the T-Joint. Metallix™ has been placed at 2 and 10 o'clock of the Metallix™ 6000.

Head's new Top Cap creates a flat top surface on the handle providing excellent hold on serving, maximum grip control for double play and optimal handling for fast speed reaction such as in defense and offense at the net.

HEAD has taken on the challenge of providing players all they need for this fast-paced, dynamic game, applying their proven racket sport expertise to a new full range of badminton products.

HEAD is the official partner of the Danish Badminton Association (DBA) and the title sponsor at the Denmark Open, Copenhagen Masters, Danish Nationals and the Danish League Final. The DBA promotes and encourage participation in badminton, from the grassroots all the way to top levels of competition. HEAD shares the DBA philosophy that each individual should be assured the best possible support in developing their game.

The two #4 world ranking (Ranking list IBF dated June, 1st 2006) top badminton players, Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen, have already signed up to play with HEAD's powerful Metallix™ badminton rackets.
