It is Carlton's best quality first-grade goose feather shuttlecock of the highest specification, as used in international events. Each feather of the GT-1 is fortified by applying a unique protective coating called NanoFilm Durability Technology to the external surface of the feather stalk. As a consequence feather degradation is noticeably reduced and feather durability is increased. Approved by the Badminton World Federation for international play.

Due to the dry weather in the United States (especially in winter), these shuttlecocks are highly recommended to be humidified 2-3 days prior to usage to increase durability.
